JIGAWA OPENS BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DISTRICT HEAD HOUSES, SOLAR STREET LIGHTS

The Jigawa State Government has opened tender for the Construction of District Heads Houses, installation of Solar street lights, fencing of graveyards, carpeting of Mosques as well as construction and renovation of Mosques across 30 State Constituencies in the State.

Declaring the bid open, the Chairman tender committee, who is also the Permanent Secretary, Administration and Finance, SSG’s office, Alhaji Abdullahi Sa’idu, said 95 construction companies were competing for the projects.

Alhaji Abdullahi Sa’idu gave the assurance that due process would be followed in awarding the contracts, adding that the Technical Evaluation Committee for the bidding would be fair.

The Permanent Secretary, said the projects is in line with the Governor Namadi’s 12 point agenda to bring dividend of democracy closer to the people.

He said the bidding was in conformity with the State Governmentโ€™s policy of awarding contract.

On his part, the representative of the Due Process and Project Monitoring Bureau, QS Kabiru Kiyawa, said the process of selecting the contractors would be transparent, fair and just.

He called on the successful contractor to ensure speedy completion of the project within the stipulated period contained in the contractual agreement.

Commenting on behalf of the bidders, the representative of Sabon Garinyaya Nigeria Ltd, Alhaji Mansur A. A, expressed satisfaction with the process of the bid opening.

He assured the Government of quality work if given the job.
