- The State Executive Council has today Friday, 2nd February, 2024, deliberated on a Memorandum presented by the Secretary to the State Government for award of Contracts for the Completion, Renovation and Construction of Daily/Friday Prayer Mosques, Provision of Praying Carpets and Generators as well as Construction of District Head Houses and Wall-Fencing of Grave Yards across the 30no. States Constituencies of the State (2023 Constituency Projects). The Council has approved the total sum of One Billion, Four Hundred and Thirty-Two Million, Three Hundred Thousand, Ten Naira and Fifty-Two Kobo (N1,432,300.010.52k) only for the various 2023 Constituency Projects as highlighted above.
- The Council has deliberated the Memorandum presented by the State Head of Civil Service (HOS) for payment of Salary Award to Jigawa State Civil Servants. The State Executive Council has after its deliberations approved the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) to each civil servant in the State for Three (3) months effective from January, 2024 as Salary Award to Jigawa State Civil Servants (both State and Local Government workers) pending when a new national minimum wage is expected to have been signed into law and other palliatives.
