Resolutions of the Jigawa State Executive Council held on Thursday 28th December, 2023

The State Executive Council presided by His Excellency Malam Umar A Namadi FCA has today Thursday 28th December, 2023 deliberated and approved as follows:
The memo presented by the SSG requesting the release of Two Billion two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira loan to Jigawa State Pilgrims Board for 500 Hajj seat to secure the NAHCON allocation to the state.

The council also approved a loan of two billion Naira only to Jigawa (State and local government contributory pension scheme) to settle last quarter outstanding benefits of retirees.

Similarly, the council approved the construction of storm water drainages at Bulangu in Kafin Hausa local Government as well as Shagari quarters in Kazaure local Government at the cost of N569,508,871.06 and 415,117,001.25 respectively.

The council also considered and approved the sum of N419,920,702.69 for the completion of 480 bed capacity female hostel block at Sule Lamido University K/Hausa to ease the suffering of the female students.

In the same vein the council approved the sum of N243,118,000 for upgrade and conversion of 14 no small town water supply scheme in 6 LGAs to address the high cost of fuel as well as N459,526,000.67 for water constituency project in the state.

Accordingly the council approved the sum of N105,438,338.24 for the construction of three Dutse city gates at Andaza, Karnaya and Laraba for beautification of the state capital.

More over the council approved the review for right of way fee from N1,000 to N145 to increase access to broadband services in the state

Equally approved the business enabling reform action plan (BERAP) for upload on the state website to enable the state to partake in the SABER Program in 2024.

Furthermore the council approved micro loan initiative to support 300 Youth in the state with N255M (N850,000 per person).

Finally the council approved the sum of N1,302,966,500.00 as loan and grant for the state rice millionaire project targeting 1100 youth across the 11 federal constituencies to produce foundation rice seeds.
