Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has directed top senior civil servants who gave offers of employment to their wives and children to return them immediately.
The Governor gave the directive during the IZALA annual preaching in Hadejia.
Describing the situation as worrisome, the Governor called on the affected workers to surrender their offers. On the proposed federal government’s Ruga settlement project, the Governor said the project was not cancelled but suspended to make it realistic.
Speaking earlier, the national leader of JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau described Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar as an active member of the group. He said the Governor is immensely contributing to the development of Izala group and the promotion Islam in general.
In a related development, Governor Badaru has restated the commitment of his administration to provide adequate land for the construction of JIBWIS Islamic University in Hadejia and enjoined the group to pray for peace, prosperity and progress of the country.
The National Preaching Programme which was organized under the leadership of Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau was attended by numerous prominent Islamic scholars from within and outside Nigeria.
