CJ APPOINTS TRIAL JUDGE FOR CORRUPTION
The state Chief Judge and chairman Judicial Service Commission, Justice, Aminu Sabo Ringim has approved the appointment of Justice, Ado Yusuf Birnin-kudu as trial Judge for corruption and financial crimes cases in the state.
The appointment was sequel to the directive given by the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onneghen to all heads of courts to appoint such Judges in their jurisdiction for speedy trial of corruption and financial crime cases.
Justice Aminu Sabo Ringim stated that the appointment of Justice Ado Yusuf was based on competence.
It would be recalled that the National Judicial Council has established a 15 member corruption and financial crime cases trial monitoring committee to monitor Judges and courts handling corruption and financial crime cases in the country.
