Governor Mallam Umar Namadi extends his warmest greetings to the people of Jigawa State and the entire Muslim world on the occasion of the new Islamic year, marking the 1st day of Muharram, 1446 AH.

While felicitating with the Muslim Ummah in Jigawa State and beyond, the governor described the new year as holding great significance for Muslims worldwide, symbolizing a time for introspection, renewal, and rededication to spiritual values.

“The Islamic year is spiritually important to Muslims as it serves as a reminder of our rich history, guides our religious practices, and reminds us of our responsibilities to Allah and our fellow humans. It is a time for self-reflection, forgiveness, and renewing our commitment to live by the teachings of Islam.”

Governor Namadi urges the people of Jigawa State to draw inspiration from Islam’s teachings and strive for personal and collective growth in the new year. He highlights the administration’s ongoing efforts to prioritize economic growth, healthcare improvement, quality education, and social welfare initiatives aimed at benefiting all sectors of society.

Looking ahead, Governor Namadi expresses optimism that, with the support and cooperation of the people, Jigawa State will continue to achieve significant milestones in its developmental journey. He urges everyone to embrace the new year with renewed faith, hope, and determination, fostering a spirit of compassion and unity among all communities.

“I urge all of us to embrace this new beginning with renewed faith, hope, and determination. Let us support one another, uphold the values of justice and compassion, and strive together to make Jigawa State a model of progress and prosperity.”

The governor prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the state and its people, wishing Jigawa State a year filled with peace, prosperity, and abundant blessings.
