JGSG INAUGURATES TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON WORKERS AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT PROGRAMME

Jigawa State Government has inaugurated 11 member Technical Committee on Workers Agricultural Support Programme to enhance Civil Servants’ welfare and well-being for high-impact performance.

Inaugurating the Committee, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim said the Committee is saddled with the responsibility to oversee the selection, disbursement and recovery of the loan

Malam Bala Ibrahim explained that the Programme corresponds with the 12 points agenda of Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s -led administration, concentrating on boosting agriculture to achieve food security.

The SSG stated that the programme will offers Civil Servants a supplementary income window, and contributes to the development of various sectors of the economy, thereby increasing the State’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Malam Bala Ibrahim explained that the appointment of the Committee members is as result of their commitment and wealth of experience.

He urged them to justify the trust and confidence reposed in them while praying for their success.

Responding, on behalf of the Committee members, the Chairman of the Committee who is also the State, Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri expressed delight for the appointment and pledged to give their best and justify the confidence reposed in them.

The Committee has, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri, the State Head of the Civil Service as Chairman.

Members of the Committee includes; Alhaji Muhammad Idris Danzomo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Cluster, Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim, Special Adviser to the Governor on Crops, Muktar Imam, Managing Director JARDA, Khalid Maigatari, Managing Director JASCO and Barrister Sunusi Lawan Kazaure, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Legal Matters.

Others are; Abba Muhammad mni, Permanent Secretary, Council Affairs and Special Services Directorate, Muhammad Yusha’u Jaji, Director Local Government/ Inspection, Abdullahi S.G Shehu, State Accountant General, Garba Muhammad Dutse, State Auditor General, Dr. Ubale Muhammad Kanya, Director General, Economic Empowerment and Youth Employment Agency, Comrade Sanusi Alhassan Maigatari, Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Basir Tijjani, Chairman Trade Union Congress, Isah Mustapha, representing CSOs while Nura Yau, Director REPA will serve as Secretary of the Committee
