Hon. Dan-gyatin emerges as Speaker Jigawa State House of Assembly.

A new Speaker for the 8th Jigawa State House of Assembly has been sworn in.

He is Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin Kayardan Dutse representing Miga constituency.

The new speaker was nominated by member representing Mallam Madori constituency Alhaji Hamza Adamu Ibrahim seconded by member representing Birnin Kudu constituency Mallam Kabiru Ibrahim

Similarly, Alhaji Sani Isyaku Abubakar has emerged as the new Deputy Speaker.

The swearing in of the new speaker and Deputy speaker followed the provision of a letter of proclamation from Governor Malam Umar Namadi to dissolve and constitutes the 8th Assembly which was read by the clerk Barrister Musa Aliyu Abubakar during the session.

In his acceptance speech, the new speaker Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin congratulated members of the Assembly for their victory during the recent election and assured the exercise an open door policy for the development of the legislature.

He expressed the determination to ensure sound relationship between the executive and the legislature to move Jigawa greater height.

The event was witnessed by Governor Malam Umar Namadi, Deputy Governor and secretary to the state Government among others.
