The State Deputy Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has described the relationship between traditional institutions of Jigawa and Niger States as cordial.
Namadi stated this when he received the Emir of Kontagora Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Alhaji Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II, on a courtesy call in his office.
He commended the Emir for the sympathy visit, over the flooding incidence that ravaged the state. He said Jigawa State Government will not relent in its effort towards assisting those affected by the flood.
Earlier, the Emir said he was in the Deputy Governor’s office, to sympathize with the Government and good people of the State over the flooding that affected most of the Local Government Areas of the State, which led to loss of lives and properties.
The Emir of Kontagora told the Deputy Governor that he has already visited the Emirs of Hadejia, Kazaure, Gumel, Ringim and Dutse to commiserate with them and ensure improved cordial relationship between the Emirs.
