JGSG to Improve Revenue Generation at LGAs.

Jigawa State Government says it is working out modalities, aimed at improving its revenue generation at the Local Government levels in addition to strategies put in place to ensure that more businessmen invest in the State.

The Deputy Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi stated this, when he received a delegation from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission on advocacy visit.

He told the delegation that Jigawa State is one of the few states with low income, and called on the commission to support the state on how to map out strategies that will improve the state’s Internally Generated Revenue. He added that the state will work hand in hand with the commission to achieve the desired goals.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation Alhaji Lawan Musa, said they were in the state as part of their nationwide tour of states and Local Government Councils, with a view to meeting with them, and discuss vital issues that will assist them on finding ways that will enable them generate more revenue.

He said the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Ccommission is working with stakeholders to improve their sources of revenue.

  1. the state govt should try its best to improve and increase all revenue sources in the state as this will go along way to better the state developmental structures and profiles.
