Kaugama LGC Establishes Task Force Committee on Land Matters

Kaugama Local Government Council has established a Task Force Committee on Land Matters with 14 members during a Security Council Meeting of the local government.

Members of the committee include, the Local Government Director Admin and General Services, Idris Gambo Abubakar as Chairman, while the Deputy Director Administration, Husseini Nagado to serve as Secretary. Others include, the representative of the District Head of Kaugama, as Vice Chairman and all the Local government’s District Heads, representatives of Security Agencies and Chairman of All Farmers Association of the Local Government Area. In his address the Chairman of the Committee, Idris Gambo Abubakar said the committee was established considering the rampant cases of land dispute reported in the area.

He said from now any farm owner must report to the committee before seeking conversion of his farm land to a residential.

 In his  speech  the  Council Chairman, Alhaji  Idris Mati  Hadin  directed the committee to visit all  grazing areas in the  Local Government to fish out those farmers  who encroach the grazing areas to  avoid  emerging  conflict   in the area.
