Kaugama Local Government Council has awarded contract for the construction of drainages at Hadin, Unguwar-Jibrin, Arbus, Girbobo and Dingare villages.
Inspecting the projects the council chairman, Alhaji Idris Mati Hadin charged the contractors to execute a quality work. He said the projects are part of the ecological funds received to control the menace of annual flooding in the areas. He called on the benefitting committees to closely monitor the projects with a view to ensuring quality work is done. He symphazised with the affected flood victims in all the nocks and crannies of the Local Government Area, and directed that a comprehensive list of the affected households be compiled and forwarded to the State Emergency Management Agency for submission to the National Emergency Management Agency for assistance.
