Jigawa State Government has appealed to the National Bureau of Statistic to strengthen collaboration with the State Statistic Bureau to ensure successful conduct of multiple indicator cluster survey exercise in the State.
The State Deputy Governor, Malam Umar Namadi made the plea when he received a delegation from National Bureau of statistic who paid him a courtesy call in his office.
Malam Umar Namadi said the multiple indicator cluster survey exercise will help the State in implementing comprehensive development frame work.
He noted that, the outcome of the survey will help in terms of policy formulation as well as understanding the impact of Government development efforts on its population.
He said the State Government has mandated the State Bureau of Statistics, Ministries of Education, Health and that of Local Government to monitor the conduct of the survey.
Earlier, the representative of the Statistician General of the Federation, Mr. Ekele Azubike said the survey will focus on females and males from the ages of 15 to 49 years and children to benefit from the programme.
He thanked the State Government for its support to the Bureau.
Also speaking the State Coordinator Federal Bureau of Statistics, Malam Ibrahim Danjuma Roni said the benefit of the survey is to collect information from people which will be used for policy formulation to bring rapid development in the State.
