Biography
A holder of Master of Development Studies Degree from the Bayero University Kano, Honorable Ibrahim Muhammad Garba was born on the first day of May 1959 in Hannun Giwa village of Sule TankarKar Local Government area. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Development studies and a Diploma in Arabic, Hausa and Islamic studies, all obtained from the Bayero University, Kano between 1995 and 2009.
Honorable Ibrahim Muhammad Garba who represented Gumel, Maigatari, Sule Tankarkar and Gagarawa Federal constituency from 2003 to 2015 was also a two term chairman of Sule Tankarkar Local Government Council under the defunct SDP in 1991 and the UNCP in 2007.
He served as Special Adviser to state Governor on Assembly Matters from 1999 to 2001 when he was appointed the Director General of the Ministry for Religious Affairs a positioned he relinquished to contest the House of Representatives seat in 2003.
