✅ Establishment of Committee to Develop Implementation Roadmap

• Purpose: To design a full roadmap for implementing Digital Economy and E-Governance Policies in Jigawa State.

• Reason: Based on a memo presented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

• Objective:

  • Drive digital transformation and innovation

  • Enhance public service delivery

  • Align with His Excellency’s 12-Point Agenda on Digital Transformation and Innovation for Development

Committee Composition:

1. Technical Adviser to H.E. on ICT & Digital Economy – Chairman

2. Rector, JSPICT Kazaure – Co-Chairman

3. MD Galaxy – Member

4. Representative, Office of the Head of Service – Member

Expected Outcomes of the Policies:

• Improve transparency, efficiency, and accountability in government operations

• Drive economic growth through digital entrepreneurship and ICT-enabled services

• Improve access to public services through e-governance platforms

• Empower youth and SMEs with digital skills and infrastructure

• Expand digital inclusion in rural and underserved areas

🏢 2. Infrastructure and Civil Service Development

✅ Renovation of New State Secretariat Complex

• Scope: Renovation of Block C & D and Ahmadu Bello Hall at the New State Secretariat Complex

• Amount Approved: ₦357,263,029.10

• Objective:

  • Improve working conditions for civil servants

  • Enhance the functionality and efficiency of government infrastructure

  • Aligns with the Governance and Administrative Reform Agenda of the 12-Point Development Agenda

✅ Transmission of Reviewed Bill to Jigawa State House of Assembly

• Bill Title: Establishment of Jigawa State Rural Access Road Authority (JIRARA) and Jigawa State Road Fund

• Purpose:

  • Provide a robust legal and institutional framework for:

    • Planning

    • Development

    • Maintenance

    • Financing of rural and feeder roads

  • Establish a sustainable Road Fund for consistent financing of road infrastructure

• Alignment: With His Excellency’s 12-Point Agenda focus on Infrastructure Development, Rural Transformation, and Economic Inclusion

✅ 2025 Constituency Projects – 24 State Constituencies

• Implementing Agency: Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA)

• Amount Approved: ₦717,731,316.84

• Scope of Works:

  • Provision of solar-powered water collection points

  • Installation of hand pumps

  • Supply of hand pump materials

  • Repair and rehabilitation of existing water facilities

• Objective: Expand access to safe and sustainable water supply across rural communities to promote inclusive development.
