The State Executive Council have deliberated and approved a memorandum presented by the Ministry of Land, Housing, Urban Development and Regional Planning for the award of contract for the construction of <em><strong>1,500no.<\/strong><\/em> of affordable Mass Housing projects.<br \/>\nThe mass housing project will have a total of <em><strong>1,500no<\/strong><\/em> Units of <strong><em>Three<\/em> Bedrooms<\/strong> stand alone and <em><strong>Two Bedrooms Semi-Detached<\/strong><\/em> houses. The mass housing will be constructed in <em><strong>Dutse<\/strong><\/em> with <em><strong>600no.<\/strong><\/em> Units of houses being the State capital. Similarly, <em><strong>Hadejia<\/strong><\/em> will have <em><strong>200no.<\/strong><\/em> Units of houses with <em><strong>Kazaure,<\/strong> <strong>Gumel<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Ringim<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Birnin Kudu<\/strong><\/em> to have<em><strong> 100no.<\/strong><\/em> Units each, while <em><strong>Babaru<\/strong><\/em> and Kafin Hausa will have <em><strong>150no.<\/strong><\/em> Units each to support the high demand of accommodation due the presence of federal and state universities.<br \/>\nThe Council approved the sum of <em><strong>Five Billion, Nine Hundred and Eighty-Four Million, Eight Hundred and Eighty Thousand, Eight Hundred and Eighty-Three Naira, Thirty Kobo (N5,984,880,883,30K)<\/strong> <\/em>only for the first Phase of the mass housing project of <em><strong>500no.<\/strong><\/em> Units of houses of <em><strong>Two Bedrooms Semi-Detached<\/strong><\/em> across the State.<br \/>\nSigned by<strong>:<\/strong> <em><strong>Sagir Musa Ahmed<\/strong><\/em>, Honorable Commissioner of Information, Youth, Sports and Culture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In line with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi FCA, 12 Points Agenda which include Land Reforms and Urban infrastructure to expand affordable mass housing projects across the State.
