The drugs were are meant to be given to children under five years for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The governor\u2019s spokesperson, Hamisu Gumel, said hisGovernor Namadi described the action of the health workers as sabotage.He said it contravened the state government\u2019s policy on free healthcare for children under five and lactating mothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said 70 per cent of the caregivers and lactating mothers interviewed by the Governor during the unscheduled visit confirmed that they bought the drugs and were not given bedsheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor also expressed dissatisfaction with the deplorable condition of the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover is-light\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim\"><\/span><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-cover__image-background wp-image-782\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/jigawastate.gov.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/FB_IMG_1688409931088.jpg\" data-object-fit=\"cover\"\/><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, on Monday, paid a surprise visit to the General Hospital, Dutse, where he caught health workers selling drugs.
