Performing the ceremony, the state Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar pledged Government continued support to the Service for the effective discharge of its duties in the state.
\nHe expressed appreciation over the existing cordial working relationship between the state government and other security agencies in the state.
\nThe Governor explained that security of lives and property of people has been the main focus of the present administration since its inception in 2015.<\/p>\n
He also noted with delight the recent arrest of some criminals, who have been terrorising the people in Babura Local Government\u00a0and responsible for vandalising cables in the area<\/span> General Danbazau commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his tremendous financial support to the Ministry of Interior, which enabled the people to enjoy efficient services including security at the nation\u2019s borders. The minister expressed delight at the erection of\u00a0the immigration service headquarters in Dutse, describing it as \u201can improved version with none like it in the whole federation\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n On his part, the Comptroller-General (CG) of the Immigration Service, Alhaji Muhammad Babandede, urged relevant agencies to continue to cooperate with the immigration service towards ensuring peace and security in the country. He said the immigration service was working relentlessly to maintain maximum security at the nation\u2019s borders, which still\u00a0required improved structures. <\/span><\/p>\n Babandede also commended the Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. \u00a0Danbazau (Rtd), for providing offices conducive for the\u00a0immigration service nationwide. <\/span><\/p>\n At the ceremony were the state Deputy Governor, Barrister Ibrahim Hassan, the Emirs of Ringim, Alhaji Sayyadi Mahmoud and that of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, members of the state Executive Council and other well wishers.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The newly constructed office of the Jigawa state Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service has been commissioned. \nAlso speaking the Minister of Interior, (Retired) Lieutenant General Abdurahaman Bello Danbazau commended Jigawa state government for its support to the Service and solicited for the support and cooperation of traditional institutions in securing our borders so to effectively tackle trans-border crimes.<\/span>
\nAccording to him, these crimes include human trafficking, drug trafficking,\u00a0arms trafficking and\u00a0illegal migration. The minister also urged them to remain focused in the discharge of their responsibilities to the people, especially in the issuance of passports. <\/span><\/p>\n
