Namadi, FCA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udf93 <strong>\u20a6891.66 MILLION APPROVED FOR 193 JIGAWA INDIGENES STUDYING AT NEAR EAST UNIVERSITY, CYPRUS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The State Executive Council approved <strong>\u20a6891,660,000.00<\/strong> for the payment of tuition fees and other approved academic and welfare expenses for <strong>193 Jigawa State indigenes<\/strong> studying <strong>Medical and Applied Medical Sciences at Near East University, Cyprus<\/strong>, for the <strong>2026\/2027 Academic Session<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The approval covers:<\/p>\n<p>\u2705 Tuition Fees<br \/>\n\u2705 Administrative Fees<br \/>\n\u2705 Value Added Tax (VAT)<br \/>\n\u2705 Accommodation<br \/>\n\u2705 Living Allowances<br \/>\n\u2705 Resident Permits<br \/>\n\u2705 Health Insurance<\/p>\n<p>The Council expressed its joy over the success recorded by the students, including <strong>99 students who have completed the mandatory 500-level courses and are now undergoing internship<\/strong>, while the remaining <strong>55 students are to complete some courses before commencing their internship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Council also commended <strong>Abu-Ubaida Abubakar<\/strong>, who scored the <strong>highest CGPA in the Department of Civil Engineering since the establishment of the University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the educational advancement of deserving Jigawa State indigenes and urged the students to remain focused, uphold the good name of Jigawa State and Nigeria, and return home after completing their programmes to contribute their knowledge and expertise to the development of the State.<\/p>\n<p>\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcdd <strong>\u20a61.056 BILLION APPROVED FOR SETTLEMENT OF 2026 NATIONAL EXAMINATION REGISTRATION CHARGES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Council approved <strong>\u20a61,056,213,457.50<\/strong> for the settlement of outstanding payment obligations relating to the <strong>2026 National Examination Registration Charges<\/strong> for students across Jigawa State.<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>40,210 students<\/strong> will benefit:<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcd8 <strong>NECO:<\/strong> 32,663 students<br \/>\n\ud83d\udcd7 <strong>NABTEB:<\/strong> 685 students<br \/>\n\ud83d\udcd9 <strong>NBAIS:<\/strong> 6,862 students<\/p>\n<p>The approval is aimed at ensuring that eligible students are not denied the opportunity to participate in their respective national examinations because of outstanding registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>The Council reaffirmed its commitment to improving access to quality education and ensuring that financial constraints do not become a barrier to the academic progress of Jigawa State students.<\/p>\n<p>\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udea7 <strong>\u20a61.096 BILLION APPROVED FOR ACCESS ROAD CULVERTS AND DRAINAGE PROJECTS IN MIGA AND BABURA LGAs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Council approved contracts worth a total of <strong>\u20a61,095,729,202.29<\/strong> for the construction of access road culverts and drainage infrastructure in <strong>Miga and Babura Local Government Areas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd <strong>Sansani\u2013Ganau\u2013Samai Road, Miga LGA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approved Sum: <strong>\u20a6346,998,542.78<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project covers the construction of access road culverts and drainage along the Sansani\u2013Ganau\u2013Samai Road, with a <strong>completion period of 16 weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udccd <strong>Limintani\u2013Kagadama Road, Babura LGA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approved Sum: <strong>\u20a6748,730,659.51<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project covers the construction of access road culverts and drainage along the Limintani\u2013Kagadama Road.<\/p>\n<p>The projects will help:<\/p>\n<p>\u2705 Mitigate flooding<br \/>\n\u2705 Improve the flow and evacuation of rainwater<br \/>\n\u2705 Protect road infrastructure and properties<br \/>\n\u2705 Provide safer and smoother access<br \/>\n\u2705 Improve connectivity and mobility<br \/>\n\u2705 Support socio-economic activities in the benefiting communities<\/p>\n<p>\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501\u2501<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfeb <strong>\u20a6405.16 MILLION APPROVED FOR RENOVATION OF DILAPIDATED CLASSROOM BLOCKS ACROSS JIGAWA STATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Council approved <strong>\u20a6405,160,444.14<\/strong> for the renovation of dilapidated classroom blocks across the State under the <strong>2026 Capital Development Programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The intervention will focus on identified classroom blocks that have deteriorated over time and require urgent rehabilitation to provide a <strong>safe, conducive and comfortable learning environment<\/strong> for pupils and students.<\/p>\n<p>The project is expected to:<\/p>\n<p>\u2705 Address critical infrastructural deficiencies in schools<br \/>\n\u2705 Improve the condition of learning facilities<br \/>\n\u2705 Enhance students\u2019 academic experience<br \/>\n\u2705 Support teachers in the effective delivery of instruction<\/p>\n<p>The Council also called on relevant authorities, school management, communities and other stakeholders to support the proper maintenance and protection of the renovated facilities to ensure their sustainability for present and future
