\ud83d\udcc5 Meeting Held on Monday, 27th April 2026<\/p>\n

The Jigawa State Executive Council, under the distinguished leadership of His Excellency, Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, convened its meeting on Monday, 27th April 2026, where far-reaching decisions were taken to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery, and improve the well-being of citizens across the State.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd39 1. Strengthening Primary Healthcare & Sanitation at the Grassroots<\/p>\n

In a major reform aimed at improving service delivery:<\/p>\n

\u2705 The Council approved the creation of a standalone Health Department in all the 27 Local Government Areas.<\/p>\n

\u2705 It also approved the restructuring of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Department across the State.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd0d What this means:<\/p>\n

Separation of Health and WASH into independent departments<\/p>\n

Appointment of substantive Heads of Department for each unit<\/p>\n

Improved coordination, accountability, and efficiency<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udca1 This strategic decision will:<\/p>\n

Enhance primary healthcare delivery<\/p>\n

Strengthen sanitation and hygiene services<\/p>\n

Ensure faster and more responsive interventions at the grassroots level<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc49 This reform reflects the administration\u2019s strong commitment to quality healthcare and sustainable sanitation for all communities.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd39 2. Approval of Key Priorities for Open Government Partnership (OGP) Action Plan III (2026\u20132027)<\/p>\n

The Council also approved four (4) strategic thematic areas for the development of Jigawa State\u2019s OGP State Action Plan III (2026\u2013December 2027):<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccc Additionally:<\/p>\n

The Council approved the commencement of the Action Plan development<\/p>\n

Endorsed the full implementation framework for the 2026\u20132027 period<\/p>\n
