The State Executive Council (SEC) convened its meeting on Monday, 12th March 2025<\/strong>, under the chairmanship of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA<\/strong>. The following major decisions were reached:<\/p>\n

\n

1. Approval of Loan for the 2025 Hajj Operations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Council approved the sum of One Billion, Eight Hundred and Thirty-Two Million, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Four Thousand, One Hundred and Ninety-Seven Naira, Fifty-Nine Kobo (\u20a61,832,724,197.59)<\/strong> as a loan to the Jigawa State Pilgrims Board<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This loan is designated to settle all necessary fees<\/strong> for intended pilgrims from Jigawa State<\/strong> participating in the 2025 Hajj Operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The approval is in line with the requirements set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)<\/strong> for the commencement of airlifting operations<\/strong> to the Holy Land, Saudi Arabia<\/strong>, for the 2025 Hajj exercise.<\/p>\n

\n

2. Expansion of Access to Vocational Education<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In line with His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA\u2019s<\/strong> drive to expand access to vocational and technical education<\/strong> for the teeming youth<\/strong> of Jigawa State, the Council approved the sum of Six Hundred and Eight Million, Six Hundred and Seventy-Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred and Seventy Naira, Six Kobo (\u20a6608,677,770.06)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This allocation is for the construction of a state-of-the-art workshop<\/strong> at the Centre of Excellence on Technical and Vocational Studies<\/strong>, located in Garki Local Government Area (LGA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The facility is intended to equip students with practical skills<\/strong>, ensuring they are better prepared for technical and vocational careers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
