Namadi, FCA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Jigawa State Executive Council convened to deliberate on key matters affecting the state, resulting in the following resolutions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enhancing Security in Schools, Health Institutions, and Courts<\/strong><br \/>\nIn alignment with the state government&#8217;s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and properties, the Council has approved the report of the Committee on Safety of Schools, Health Institutions, and Courts across the state. The report recommends the adoption of preventive security strategies to ensure maximum protection for all primary and secondary schools (both day and boarding), High Courts, Magistrate and Shari\u2019a Courts, Primary Health Centers (PHCs), and General Hospitals. To achieve this, the Council has sanctioned the engagement of private indigenous security companies, employing <strong>9,972 Jigawa State youth<\/strong> from the respective communities to serve as security personnel, fostering local employment and community-driven security solutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Environmental Policy Reforms and Legislative Amendments<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a determined effort to address critical environmental challenges and promote a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Jigawa, the Council has approved the <strong>review of the Jigawa State Environmental Policy<\/strong> and the <strong>amendment of key environmental laws<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Wild Animals Laws<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Bush Burning Law<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Compulsory Monthly Sanitation Exercise Law<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Environmental Protection Agency (JISEPA) Law<\/strong><br \/>\nThese reforms reflect the administration\u2019s dedication to environmental sustainability through well-structured policies that inspire collective action and responsible environmental stewardship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compensation for Demolished Structures in Gindin-Dunya, Dutse<\/strong><br \/>\nAs part of its commitment to urban security and moral integrity in the state capital, the Council has approved the <strong>sum of Four Hundred and Twenty-One Million, One Hundred and Ninety-Four Thousand, Fifty-One Naira, Six Kobo (N421,194,051.06)<\/strong> for compensating property owners affected by the demolition of structures in Gindin-Dunya, Dutse. This measure is aimed at enhancing security and improving the overall societal well-being in the area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support for Flood Victims and Agricultural Empowerment<\/strong><br \/>\nIn recognition of the challenges faced by residents affected by the <strong>2024 floods<\/strong>, the Council has approved the <strong>waiver of costs on Seeds, Fertilizers, Agro-Chemicals, and Labour<\/strong>, totaling <strong>One Hundred and Twelve Million, Fifteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Naira (N112,015,900.00)<\/strong> for <strong>335 flood victims<\/strong> currently enrolled in the <strong>Jigawa State Rice Millionaire Project<\/strong>. Furthermore, the Council has extended the <strong>repayment period for solar pumps and panels<\/strong> by two additional farming seasons, beginning with the current wheat-growing season.<br \/>\nThis initiative is part of His Excellency, Malam Umar A.
